In addition to the hosts of ARENA2036, many other individuals and partners are involved in the Stuttgart Conference on Automotive Production. Our key partners include ISW, iew and IABP, all institutes of the University of Stuttgart who provide significant support in organizing and implementing the conference.
ARENA2036 stands for “Active Research Environment for the Next generation of Automobiles” and is an innovation platform for the future of production and mobility. It is one of nine research campuses in the BMBF funding initiative “Research Campus – Public-Private Partnership for Innovation” in Germany. ARENA2036 serves as a platform for developing disruptive technologies through collaboration between high-tech companies and leading scientific institutes. The Institute for Control Engineering of Machine Tools and Manufacturing Units (ISW) at the University of Stuttgart is a leading research center in the field of control engineering, covering everything from planning to tooling. The Institute for Electrical Energy Conversion (iew) at the University of Stuttgart focuses on two main areas: electrical machines and contactless energy transfer. Both areas are key topics in the field of electromobility. Scientists at the iew are researching the design of electric motors with very high torque density and position-tolerant inductive charging systems. The aim is to develop highly efficient components for the electric vehicles of the future.
The Institute of Acoustics and Building Physics IABP (formerly the Chair of Building Physics) at the University of Stuttgart is dedicated to addressing the current challenges of sustainable design in our built environment. With a competent team and in interdisciplinary collaboration with national and international partners, scientific questions are answered and new solutions and methods are developed. The complex knowledge and findings flow directly into well-founded, committed, and innovative teaching.

The DigiTain research project began on January 1, 2023, and aims to develop processes, methods, and models for fully digital product development and certification of sustainable electric drive architectures. It is a collaboration between 26 funded and 2 associated partners from industry and academia. The project will run for 36 months and aims to advance digitization for sustainability in the realm of electric drive architectures.
IEEE TEMS is an acronym for the IEEE Technology and Engineering Management Society.
